You're Carrying More Than Anyone Sees

Do you ever feel like you're already behind before your feet even hit the floor? Perhaps your mind starts running through the list of everything that needs to happen today before you've had a chance to take a breath. The kids, the work, the texts, the problems to solve. You show up, you hold it together, you do it all with a smile because that's what people expect.

But inside, something feels different.

You might find yourself snapping at the people you love, then lying awake feeling guilty about it. There are moments when tears come in the car or the bathroom because it's the only place no one will see. Sometimes you look in the mirror and wonder when you stopped feeling like yourself.

It's easy to tell yourself you should be able to handle this. That everyone else seems to manage. So you push through, even when you're running on empty.

If this sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

Meet Your Washington Therapist

Carla Charles, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) WA | 8 Years of Clinical Experience

I became a therapist because I saw how many women carry invisible weight. For years, I watched smart, capable women push through exhaustion, doubt themselves constantly, and believe they just needed to try harder. I saw how society expects women to manage everything seamlessly while offering little support when they struggle. That imbalance never sat right with me.

Now, I support women in recognizing that struggling doesn't mean failing. I help them understand the patterns keeping them stuck and build practical skills to create real change. Whether it's learning to set boundaries without guilt, managing anxiety that keeps them up at night, or reconnecting with who they are beyond their roles, I'm here to provide the space and tools they need.

I genuinely believe in the resilience of the women I work with. My passion is helping them see their own strength and use it to build a life that doesn't require constant sacrifice.

Available online to women in Washington, Texas & Idaho. I'm licensed as an LICSW in WA and an LCSW in TX and ID.

My Compassionate Approach to Therapy

Sessions with me feel like a conversation with someone who genuinely gets it. There's no pressure to perform or have everything figured out before you walk through the door. You come as you are.

I bring structure when it helps and flexibility when it's needed. We'll work together to understand how your thoughts are affecting your emotions, build practical coping skills you can actually use, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in real life. I'm not here to just listen and nod. I'll gently challenge you when it serves your growth, celebrate your wins with you, and meet you with honesty and care every step of the way.

You may notice that over time, the constant worry starts to quiet. The guilt loosens its grip. You begin to trust yourself more. These shifts often happen gradually, in small moments that add up.

Therapy for Women Navigating Anxiety and Burnout

I work best with women who are ready to stop doing it all alone. My clients are working professionals, caregivers, and moms who appear strong and capable on the outside but feel exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of who they are inside.

Many are in their late 20s to 40s, navigating career changes, shifting family dynamics, or reevaluating their direction in life. They're moving through burnout, questioning their identity beyond their roles, or learning to let go of perfectionism and people-pleasing.

Common concerns my clients bring include:

  • Anxiety that keeps their mind racing, even in quiet moments
  • Depression that makes everything feel heavy and hard to enjoy
  • Low self-esteem and a persistent inner critic
  • Burnout from trying to be everything to everyone
  • Difficulty setting boundaries without guilt
  • Feeling disconnected from who they really are
